Infrared zones / Climate zones

How to choose an infrared processor

• Standing or wall-mounted - a stand with wheels can be moved between workstations; a wall-mounted arm takes up less space.
• Heating elements - arms with heating elements surround the head and warm it evenly.
• Controls - adjust the temperature and time using the panel or dials; the timer switches the device off after the treatment.
• Power - varies by model; check the product page.
• Foldable arms - make it easier to position the device over the client's head and put it away.

What it's used for

For hair salons and hairdressing schools, for coloring, bleaching, perms and mask treatments that work faster with heat.

Frequently asked questions

• Infrared processor or climazon? They're in the same category of devices - climazon is another name used in the market for the same type of device.
• Does an infrared processor replace a hooded hair dryer? No - an infrared processor provides heat but doesn't dry with airflow. A hooded dryer is needed to dry hair on rollers.
• How far from the head should the arms be positioned? Follow the manufacturer's instructions - the heat should be noticeable but not too hot; usually a few inches away.
