Wavy profile instead of a flat surface

The frame curves: it rises under the head, dips at the waist and rises again under the thighs. On a flat surface, the lumbar spine is left unsupported and starts to ache after an hour. Here, the shape does what bolsters would do on a lounger—the client lies in a position that does not need correcting. During lash styling, when a treatment can last several hours, the client can lie still and comfortably.

Two cushions included

The larger one goes under the head, while the smaller one can be placed under the lumbar area or knees. Both are removable and covered with the same material as the rest of the chair, so they can be cleaned in the same way. Foam and quilting

The filling is firmer than that of a lounge chair, and this is intentional. A soft sofa sinks under the hips after an hour, causing the entire contoured shape to stop working. Here, the foam maintains the profile throughout the treatment. Quilting divides the surface into squares, which additionally stabilise the filling in place.

Synthetic leather, not velvet

Alba has smooth synthetic leather upholstery that can be wiped with a damp cloth. This is important for treatments involving lash adhesive, degreasers and primers. A drop on a smooth surface can be wiped away; on velvet, it remains.

Stitching and texture

The seams follow the quilting lines rather than running across the back. Nothing presses into the skin during longer periods of lying down, which matters during a three-hour treatment. Black upholstery shows cosmetic marks less noticeably than light-coloured upholstery.
