How to choose a beauty stool

• Height - check the gas lift adjustment range and compare it with the height of the chair or treatment bed you work at. Choose a low stool for pedicures and a high chair for makeup.
• Backrest - a stool without a backrest is more nimble, while one with a backrest relieves strain on your back during longer sessions. Some models have an adjustable backrest.
• Mechanism - a gas lift with a lever under the seat; some models have foot-operated adjustment (bump-up), so you can keep your hands free.
• Base and casters - five-star, chrome or black; casters for hard floors. Replacement casters and gas lifts are available as spare parts.
