The lack of cabinets under the countertop gives you complete freedom to position your legs. Desks with cabinets force you into one sitting position and one side from which you can approach with a stool. Here, the space under the countertop is clear across its entire width, so you can approach from either side and change position during the treatment without hitting your knees against a partition.
