Bentwood shell
The seat and backrest are set in a single shell made of layered bent beechwood in a light finish. The wood remains visible on the outside—the edge runs around the entire chair and gives it the silhouette of a classic lounge chair rather than a typical hairdressing chair.
Height adjustment with a hydraulic pump
The hydraulic pump raises the seat from 50 to 62 cm. The lever is operated with the foot, without bending down, even when the client is seated. The seat rotates a full 360 degrees, so the client can be turned toward the mirror without moving the chair.
Extendable headrest
The headrest cushion slides on metal rods within a range of 17–30 cm above the backrest. It can be adjusted to the client's height and stabilizes the head tilted backward during shaving.
Reclining backrest
The backrest reclines to a semi-reclined position. During shaving and beard grooming, the client lies securely while the barber has access to the face from above without leaning over a seated person.
Upholstered armrests
Instead of resting on a hard frame, the client places their forearms on soft, upholstered cushions measuring 36 cm in length. They are positioned at a height that allows the shoulders to remain relaxed, making it easier to guide the scissors evenly.
Button-tufted upholstery
Synthetic leather with padding made of deformation-resistant foam. The material does not absorb moisture and can be wiped clean in one motion after each client. The buttons sewn into the backrest and headrest reference lounge furniture from the mid-20th century.
Round base and wooden footrest
The 60 cm-diameter round base has a low profile and does not obstruct a broom while sweeping. The footrest is a 38 cm-wide wooden board on a metal support—it supports the feet across their entire width, while the wood echoes the chair's shell.
