Gabbiano Florence black-walnut hairdressing backwash unit
The same black body as in the standard version, but the shell around the seat is made of walnut rather than beech. Walnut is darker and reddish-brown, so the wood does not stand out against the lacquer but adds warmth to it. You can tilt the basin to suit the client's height, while the pipes run inside the base.

Walnut instead of beech
That is the only difference between this version and the black Florence. The basin, upholstery, base and fittings are identical in both versions. Only the type of wood used for the curved shell changes, along with the overall impression. Beech is light and honey-coloured, creating a distinct arc against the black. Walnut has a darker, reddish-brown shade and blends into the lacquer, keeping the body visually cohesive while the wood adds texture rather than a line.
In a salon with a dark floor and walnut cabinetry, this version will blend into its surroundings.
Basin collar and tilt adjustment
The back of the neck rests on a plastic pad rather than directly on the ceramic. The collar is contoured to support the neck, while the pad reduces the cold sensation that is more noticeable with black glaze than with white. You can adjust the basin tilt separately to suit the client's height, which during longer treatments determines whether the neck is working or resting.
Fittings and waste
One lever controls the temperature, and the drain plug has a hair-catching strainer. The mixer tap is positioned at the back of the basin, with space beside it to place the hand shower, so it does not lie in the basin during rinsing. The plug with its built-in strainer catches hair above the trap. The mixer tap, hand shower and hoses are included.
Installation inside the base
The water connection and waste pipe run inside the body, so nothing protrudes against the wall. The backwash unit requires a permanent connection to the water supply and drainage.
Upholstery and filling
Black synthetic leather with shallow tufting. The absence of deep stitching means dye does not collect in the seams, and disinfection only requires wiping the surface. The upholstery covers foam padding, and the armrests are upholstered along their entire length.

The basin drops downward. What should I do?
The basin angle is adjusted using the nuts and bolts at its mount, and transport may make adjustment necessary. Loosen the nut, tighten the bolt underneath, then tighten the nut again: one pair of bolts tilts the basin downward and the other upward. Tighten gradually, a little on each side. If the basin still drops after adjustment, contact us.
