Gabbiano Porto black-and-chocolate hairdressing backwash unit
The Porto version in which not only the fittings but also the base and ceramic basin are black. The chocolate upholstery stands out against this background, making the furniture read as a dark form with a single warm element. The dimensions and equipment are the same as in the other Porto models.

Black ceramic instead of white
The basin is finished in black, just like the wedge-shaped base. In fourteen Porto variants, the basin and housing are white. Here, both elements are black, leaving only the upholstery line and chrome plug visible. The ceramic has the same specifications as the rest of the range: 56 by 50 cm and 20 cm deep.
Gap beneath the backrest
The gap between the backrest and seat extends across the entire width of the chair. Hair does not collect along the joint because there is no joint there. A broom or vacuum nozzle can slide underneath in one motion, without moving the backwash unit away from the wall.
Chocolate-colored upholstery
The brown has a warm, rich shade with a matte finish. The surface is smooth, with a single seam running along the edge of the seat and backrest. The synthetic leather withstands daily wiping with an alcohol-free product, while the foam underneath is 9 cm thick and retains its shape under heavy use.
Metal armrests
The arm is 37 cm long and has a 4 cm wide profile. Its shape is geometric, bent at a right angle, with a 4 cm profile. In this version, it has a black finish, so the arms blend into the base rather than standing out from it.
Mixer tap
You adjust the temperature with one lever before the water reaches the client’s hair. The tap is positioned at the back of the basin, out of the client’s head range, with a holder for the hand shower next to it. The complete tap set, including the hoses, comes included.
Plug with strainer
The chrome stands out against the black ceramic, making it easy to see when the strainer is full. The plug closes the drain when filling the basin and filters the water the rest of the time. Collected hair stays on top and can be removed by hand, without opening the trap.
Hose and connections
The plumbing enters the base from underneath rather than running along the wall. The shower hose descends from the basin directly into the housing, where the pipes are routed. The backwash unit requires a permanent connection to water and drainage, like any backwash unit with a basin.

For a salon where the backwash unit is in a visible location and is cleaned after every client. There is open space across the entire width of the chair between the backrest and the seat, so a broom can pass underneath in a single motion.

Use alcohol-free products without strong detergents. Alcohol-based products and products such as Cif remove the protective layer from synthetic leather, causing the material to become dull and lose its elasticity.
The basin drops downward. What should I do?
The basin angle is adjusted using screws and nuts at its mounting points, and it may require correction after transport. Loosen the nut, tighten the screw underneath, and then retighten the nut: one pair of screws tilts the basin downward, and the other upward. Tighten gradually, a little on each side. If the basin still drops after adjustment, contact us.
