Gabbiano President "Old Leather" green barber chair
The "Old Leather" version is the President upholstered in a finish that looks worn from day one—the green faux leather features irregular scuffs and patina marks, like leather after decades of use. Combined with a black frame, riveted buttons, and decorative cast details, it is ready to become the centerpiece of a vintage interior.
Key features
- round, quilted backrest with decorative buttons
- reclining backrest with adjustable footrest - shaving position
- hydraulic pump with seat height adjustment from 54 to 67 cm
- seat rotation around its axis
- extendable headrest on a post - up to approx. 20 cm
- towel holder beneath the armrest
- opening between the backrest and seat through which cut hair falls
- Greek meander on the calf-support panel and decorative embossing on the black base
- semi-matte faux leather upholstery with a distressed "Old Leather" finish
Reclining backrest and shaving position
The chair's backrest reclines to a semi-reclined position, while the adjustable footrest raises the client's legs. This setup is designed for razor shaving and beard care—the client can relax while you have full access to the face and neck.
Distressed "Old Leather" faux leather
The distressed "Old Leather" finish means that each section of the upholstery has a slightly different shade and pattern of wear—the chair looks like a restored original rather than a replica. Quilting with metal buttons completes the effect.
Greek meander and decorative cast details
The calf-support panel is decorated with an embossed Greek meander, while decorative botanical ornaments cast in metal are repeated on the base and footrest plate. These details give the chair the character of a period piece that cannot be mistaken for anything else.
Extendable headrest and practical details
The headrest cushion extends on a post by approx. 20 cm, allowing you to support the head of both shorter and taller clients. A towel holder is located beneath the armrest, while the opening between the backrest and seat allows cut hair to fall onto the floor instead of collecting in the chair's hard-to-reach areas.
Who is it for?
For vintage and industrial-style barbershops—places where brick, steel, and aged wood call for a piece of furniture with a history. This version is for salons that want a chair "with soul" without having to search for antiques.
Other versions of this chair
The President range also includes a green version with a black base, a green version with a chrome frame, and a black version.
FAQ
Can the backrest be reclined for shaving?
Yes. The backrest reclines to a semi-reclined position, while the adjustable footrest supports the legs, allowing the client to lie comfortably during razor shaving or beard care.
Does the chair rotate?
Yes, the seat rotates around its axis on a hydraulic pump, making it easier to work around the client and to get into the chair.
Is the headrest adjustable?
Yes, the headrest cushion is mounted on a post and extends upward by approx. 20 cm, allowing you to adjust it to the client's height.
What should be used to disinfect the upholstery?
Do not use alcohol-based products or strong cleaners such as Cif on synthetic leather. Choose products intended for faux leather, and wipe the surface with a damp cloth after disinfection.
