Gabbiano Porto black-and-gold hairdressing backwash unit
Porto with gold-finished arms. The base and basin remain white, the upholstery and fittings are black, and gold appears only on the two armrest arches. The construction is the same as in the other Porto models: a ceramic basin with an adjustable angle and a gap beneath the backrest through which hair can be swept.

Gold-finished armrests
Gold covers only the two arches; the rest of the metal remains black. The arm is bent into an open rectangle and extends 37 cm along the seat. The profile is 4 cm wide, so the arch is clearly visible from every side of the room. The tap, handset, and hose remain black, keeping the gold from spreading across the entire piece of furniture.
Gap beneath the backrest
The broom passes beneath the backrest instead of stopping at its edge. The backrest and seat do not touch each other, so no groove forms beneath the chair where cut hair can collect. Cleaning up after a client takes one pass, without moving the furniture away from the wall.
Basin rim with cover
The neck rests on plastic, not ceramic. The contoured rim has a cover that removes the coldness and hardness of the surface. The basin itself is ceramic, measuring 56 by 50 cm and 20 cm deep, and does not absorb hair-dye pigments. The basin angle can be adjusted to suit the client's height.
Mixer tap
The temperature is set with one lever before the water reaches the hair. The tap body is positioned at the back of the basin, out of the way of the client's head. There is a holder for the shower handset beside it, so the detached handset does not lie in the basin. The complete fitting comes with the set.
Plug with strainer
Hair collects above the drain, not in the pipe. The chrome plug seals the basin when you want to fill it, and acts as a filter the rest of the time. The collected clump is visible to the naked eye and can be removed by hand, without opening the trap.
Hose and connection
The plumbing enters the base from underneath, not through the wall. The shower hose descends from the basin directly into the wedge-shaped housing, where the pipes run. Nothing remains on the outside to catch your foot on. The backwash unit requires a permanent water and drain connection.
Synthetic leather upholstery
A smooth surface with a single stitch at the edge. The seat is 9 cm thick, and the backrest is 43 cm high. Without quilting, paint does not soak into the recessed seams, and the surface can be wiped clean in a single movement. Underneath, deformation-resistant foam provides support.
Who is it for?
For salons where the backwash unit is in a visible location and is cleaned after every client. There is free space across the entire width of the chair between the backrest and seat, so a broom can pass underneath in a single movement.

Use alcohol-free products without strong detergents. Alcohol-based products and products such as Cif remove the protective layer from the synthetic leather, causing the material to become dull and lose its flexibility.
The basin drops down. What should I do?
The basin angle is adjusted using the screws and nuts at its mounting points, and adjustment may be needed after transport. Loosen the nut, tighten the screw underneath, then tighten the nut again: one pair of screws tilts the basin downward, the other upward. Tighten them gradually, a little on each side at a time. If the basin still drops after adjustment, contact us.
